I’m Chris Hubel, a Pontiac local, a licensed realtor, and a guy who believes in the power of storytelling—especially when it comes to old homes, new businesses, and overlooked cities like this one. I bought my first house here. I built my brand here. And I’m not going anywhere. After years of walking these streets, restoring what others would have demoed, and helping people buy into this community, I realized Pontiac needed more than just listings and stats. It needed a pulse. So I started filming. Sharing. Documenting.

Hey, I’m Chris Hubel—licensed realtor, lifelong Michigan local, and the founder of Pontiac Pulse and History Loves Company. I’ve always been drawn to old homes and underdog cities, and Pontiac? It’s both. It’s where I live, where I work, and where I’ve planted roots. Before real estate, I spent 12 years running a bike shop and chasing dreams that didn’t quite stick. Then I bought my first home—right here in the Franklin Boulevard Historic District—and everything changed. That house (and this city) gave me purpose. I started restoring what I could, telling stories through real estate videos, and helping buyers fall in love with homes that actually matter.
